Clean shaven and refreshed.
A grand day out in the Capital was had by myself and Mrs Flash, good to meet James and Mark, however briefly.
The site of four hundred well dressed fellow cyclist taking London by storm was a wonderful site to behold.
Thanks must go to the organisers of the event, trying to arrange four hundred cyclist to move en-mass appeared to be as easy as herding cats.

Too see our capital halted by 400 sartorially elegant bicyclists was spectacular!
One has to admire the aray of obscure makes of machinery seen. A mobile museum of mechanical ideas, some of which failed in concept, and others which laid the ground for todays two wheeled transport. FANTASTIC!
Pleasure to have met some fellow Guvnor owners.

Good Morning Gentlemen,

I can add a little information regarding the start point, Mrs Adam received in per pack a small pamphlet containing a few details:

The meeting point is the Roostein Hopkins Parade Ground at the Chelsea College of Art and Design, opening at 10:30am, photos at 11:45am and setting off at 12:00pm (prompt)

The ride ends at The Bathhouse, Bishopsgate Churchyard with a bit of a party before being sent on our way at 7:00pm.

Andreas, currently no idea on the start location I’m afraid, somewhere central around 12. And the finish is somewhere east, around 4. Keep an eye on the login section of the Tweed Run site.

Quite tricky to get a suitable bike to hire. Most places tout sturdy all terrain bikes, but Velorution will loan you a Brompton which could conceivably pass muster:

Good morning,
I I will attend the tweed run for the first time. Because I am from BERLIN I could collect my registration pack on thursday. Were does the Run starts and were does it ends?
Does anybody know, were I could rent a bicycle nearby the start or is there someone who has a bike for me?

Please keep me updated on the ride's/meet's..Iv'e been waiting for the God's to have mercy.."let me ride I say!"...I need to be freed from my bonding chain's of that machine that' let's me spin to never never land!...I want to feel the gear's of the schlumpf drive once again..plus,my wifey...is getting tired of having no room in the house as I now have collected a 1955 raleigh sport's,a 1960 raleigh superbe roadster(24" frame:) and a 1890's fixed perfecta,a 1977 raleigh competition fixed..in the last 2 month's :)...get me out of the dawg house!

Crivens, all 400 places went in an hour! Glad to see you chaps were on the case, as was yours truly…

Adam, I can only deduce from the programme that the 12 mile ride with tea stop, delays and who knows what might end around 3pm, thereafter one expects participants to refresh and make themselves ready for an evening of imbibing (which I’ll sadly have to miss).

If you are heading home from Liverpool St you’ll be well placed for a convenient exit, as to when is up to you. In your shoes I’d book a carriage for well after dusk.

I’m looking to book our train tickets for the event. I would be grateful if someone could give me an idea to what the approximate event times are, in particular the end time? I’d hate to think we miss something due to an incorrectly booked train.

Gentlemen, great to hear of some interest!

Mark, have done Kemble to Paddington myself and it’s a breeze. 4 spaces per train, free of charge, in theory you have to do book but hardly anyone does. However if it’s full then your booking is a guarantee — if the guard has been informed of course (debatable). See details:

Fantastic.
Has anyone experienced transporting bicycles by train these days?
I have never done. Information, if you have any would be appreciated.
Should be brave and cycle from the Cotswolds. Train would be easier though!
