TTFN
just taken delivery of my new 3 speed guv. today this affair is going get physical in deepest darkest dorset.
Ignore the voices, enjoy the beast.
the beast is fantastic. i just going to ride off into the south coast sunset. this allows me to ignore the voice of my concerned girlfriend who is now struggling for my affections. be warned one and all, owning a guv can seriously damage relationships.
Evening Mick,
Welcome it really is a little bit special isn’t it? If the bike doesn’t cause damage be warned of the forum, it sucks you in but is a jolly nice place to spend a little time.
Regards,
Adam
hello adam. many thanks for your reply. after spending the last week in the lounge the guv has now taken up residency in the garage thanks to a very accomadating girlfriend. consequently, so have i. have to scoot old chap. time for a ride. regards mick.
Good evening, at the tender age of fifty five I eagerly await the arrival of my single speed Guvnor, these last three weeks have certainly dragged but I know it,s worth the wait, I feel like a small child on Christmas eve, to my wife it,s very sad but I,m sure you know how I feel.
…… Cheaper than a mistress too!
Enjoy.
What joy! Collected my Guvnor this afternoon from Rustington in West Sussex and cycled home to Felpham village. A journey of only a few miles along the A259 but a memorable one indeed, the Guvnor feels so solid and robust on the tarmac but at the same time surprisingly swift. Heading up country tomorrow, tallyho! (Any more Guvnor riders in the area?)
Good evening Steve ,
I shall be collecting my 3 speed tomorow , and I live in Bognor
Ade
Hi Chaps – I’m in Horsham but we regularly go to the coast via Rustington.
Steve, was it Blazing Saddles you bought the bike ? I had no idea they were a Pashley dealer. I keep meaning to go in there for a nose around.
Welcome to the wonderful world of the Guv, and I’m glad to see they are growing in number in Sussex.
Enjoy it – Andrew
Good evening Ade, you won,t be disappointed its a magnificent beast, I,ve been on it nearly all day and can honestly say I,ve never ridden a bicycle like it, let me know how yours performs.
All the best. Steve.
Hi Andrew, yes it was Blazing Saddles, they,re a nice helpful bunch, I work quite a bit in London and it would have been easy to go to one of the big boys up there, but its always better to shop local I think plus the cycle home was jolly good!
Regards. Steve
Good evening Steve, yes it is a fantastic machine, only rode from home along the seafront to butlins then back , But is is a wizzy thing , quicker than i expected
bad weather stoped play .
Rideing it to work tomorow though
Hello Ade, I rode to to Bognor myself this evening and back home before the weather turned nasty, I feel our paths will cross very soon. Regards. Steve.
Would Winston have had a GUV’INOR?
In his youth yes
