I really like the looks of the Guv’nor and I’m thinking of getting one. However, the dropped riding position wouldn’t suit me as I have had back problems (I changed from S to M handlebars on my Brompton and found this much more comfortable). Is it possible to invert the handlebars to give an upright riding position, or would this be anathema to purists??

Hi,

I got my bike with the bars in the up position (the shop put the bike together like that) & love it, I think it even looks cooler “sorry”. I did flip the bars to try it out & went on a big ride, did not like it factory down not as much control @ low speeds & kills the back. So get a Guvnor & put the bars up because it’s just a joy! :)

Hi Tony,

If you can risk the wrath of MGcC and his ilk, would you be able to post a picture of your Guv’nor?

Evening Gentlemen,

Mr. Hughes, as the bars are inverted North Road bars you could argue you are indeed riding with them the correct way up.

Obviously you would be mocked mercilessly if your path ever crossed another Guvnor rider.

You’ll be saying you want gears next…

Regards,

Adam
