Gentlemen,

On the bowler conundrum: Christy’s models are certainly splendid and very solid if you go for the hunting model Mr. Fenrir. I have one such and have used it for some time for both riding and falling off horses. The issue, Mr MGcC, with sportive organisers allowing them is, I suspect, that when falling off either horse or bicycle one must ensure that one’s head lands in the bowler for it to be effective. A neat trick when mastered but one which does require some practise.

No such problems as far as the Tweed Run is concerned though and bowlers may be proudly worn.

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

I’ve been having a good nosey around Brooks spanking new website that has just gone live this afternoon, and was reminded of a rather nice vignette featuring behind the scenes footage at a springtime photo shoot. This is what Teddy does for a ‘proper job’, him being art director for Brooks on this particular campaign. Personally, I would think it a hundred times less stressful than organising a jaunt around London town for 500 cyclists… a mammoth task to take on in your spare time, I think you’ll agree, but I’m awfully glad that he does. Three cheers to Mr Young-Ing.
