I am putting my Mark 2 cork plug designs on hold.

Just got a message from my local bike shop that my Guv’nor is ready for collection. It had developed a rattle after its first service, which although appropriate for this event was more than a tad annoying. (I think it was a loose chain… oh, the shame!). The other good news is that they have an end cap UNDER WARRANTY waiting for me too! I went to the Ringwood branch of my local cycle shop this time, and they even dry lubed the chain as per my original service instructions, (it came back from its first service with wet lube) so overall, I am now a very happy bunny.

Evening Gentlmen,

Mr. Senior, to fall at the first hurdle a damned shame and if nothing else a missed oppotunity to pop open another couple of bottles of Krug.

Actually Sir a good result from your local bicycle shop, it sounds like you’ve found a keeper.

Regards,

Adam

Morning Gentlemen,

Mr. MGcC maybe the idea will resurface at somepoint…  I feel honoured to have been mentioned at such a prestigious and celebrated gathering!

Mr. Adam, yes it is the perfect alibi for my drinking habit!

Just picked up my Guv, and am extremely pleased with the bicycle shop, apparently the other branch had tried to leave a message saying the bar end was to be replaced under warranty. They degreased the chain and sprockets and am all dry lubed up. So credit where credit is due, I am now very happy with Bicycle World and indeed Pashley.

I will get some Loctite for the bar end grub screws which will hopefully keep them on for good, or at least till I can down a couple of bottles of bubbly.

Dear Rich,

As a dealer of Guv’nor, I can confirm that the handelbar end caps are already mounted by Pashley factory.

For everybody, please note that it is always better to check the tighteness of the very small screw of the cap.

If you wish new handelbar caps (with ends indeed) and as I saw you were affraid by the price, I could order and send them to you free of benefit.
