An interesting article in this months Brooks Blog, finishing with a photograph of a very fine bicycle… and a novel method of pumping up the tyres. Bowler hats and bellows, it might catch on.
Thank you for this, I was pondering my commuting options this dismal morning (13 miles each way on the Guv or walk, train and bus) and this has made my decision for me. I am suitably humbled.
I trust your commute went well, dear fellow. I too decided to brave the elements too, my journey is only a 14 mile round trip… and I was blessed with blue skies and sunshine on the way home. Hurrah to that!
Glad to hear of your commutes in clement conditions. My matutinal jaunt is covered elsewhere. The crepuscular journey was under steady rain and the commercial districts of Cheam and Morden are not at their best… Added to that the extra vehicular traffic I found I had to disregard the chronometer and make my way home as best I could, cheered only by the shout of ‘nice bike’ from another cyclist.
My B17 is looking very sorry so it may be the train tomorrow, sorry!
