What, everything? The night I came home from Pongo Twistleton’s birthday party and mistook the standing lamp for a burglar?

Sounds like a positively delightful afternoon, Mr Fossil. I shall be joining you with a joyful commute to work in my own neck of the woods this coming week, too. It appears summer has finally decided to make an appearance!

Kind regards,

Martin

Gents,

That makes at least three as I am gearing up for the full thirteen miles to my client’s office rather than topping and tailing the train as per usual.

The big question is: purple Rapha long-sleeve jersey or Brooks L’Eroica?   The latter being a super match for my leather clad Guv, tan boots and black linen shorts.  Oh, I do believe I have answered my own question.

Bons voyages,

Alex

Ah, so you have taken delivery of the hallowed Brooks jersey, Mr McF– splendid! I trust the fit is most agreeable? I wore mine for yesterdays’ sportive in the Fens, and it performed superbly… I was amazed how cool it kept me in 30 degrees of heat, even though lycra clad chaps kept asking me if I was warm enough in the most jovial of manners (I’ve always been blessed with ruddy cheeks), so by my experience I consider your choice an inspired one in what appears to be a scorching London town today.

All my very best, Gents

Morning Gentlmen,

Well the fixie was left in the shed this morning and the Guv removed from the dining room and pressed into commuting service.

Jolly hard work turning into the car park this morning instead of keeping straight on and heading off to the Peaks.

Regards,

Adam

Evening gents,

Mr Martin, sorry, yes, indeed, I have taken delivery of a Brooks L’Eroica from Ben’s Cycles in deepest Milwaukee!  Very prompt service, barring the holding pattern set up by HMRC.  I cannot recall the sterling price all up with postage and customs.  I will dig this out when I summon the strength to review the bank statement. But I was lucky enough to buy the XL at a mere $110.  I presume they have a glut in this size.

I did my first all-cycle commute today; and notwithstanding my earlier waffle I opted for my Rapha long-sleeved jersey in purple for better visibility to our four-wheeled friends as I simply could not find my helmet!

Great to be out in the sun on the Guv, even if my entire commute was on the jolly old A24 from South London to deepest Surrey or rather highest Surrey as my cycle computer thingy tells me I made a net climb of nearly 500 feet on the way out.

The Brooks XL is a somewhat snugger fit than the Rapha XL if that is of any help to anybody.

What ho chaps ,

well todays ride to work was monumental so say the least .

I got there in 48.5 mins , (14 miles) and I thought 51 mins was good on friday

Though,  to tell the truth I was quite puffed out when I got there !!
