Thought I’d share a couple of photos of my Guvnor with it’s new SA quadrant changer that I fitted over the weekend. It only took 20 minutes from start to finish and I reused the pulley wheel and cable — the hardest part was sourcing the changer itself which I got via ebay. After being outbid on 2 previous changers it was third time lucky and I managed to bag this little chap. I was originally thinking of fitting it on the down tube rather than the cross bar however the band wasn’t big enough so it was the top tube or nothing. I’ve already taken it for a couple of spins and it seems to function really well. Already looking forward to a fettle next weekend as my new brake levers should have arrived together with the Brooks leather bar tape !

An extremely tidy conversion, Sir– bravo. I’m looking forward to your photographic account documenting the new brake levers and ‘bar tape, once in situ.

Kind regards,

Martin

Tremendous. If you must have gears than that’s the way to do it.

Cheers!
