Disappointed of Tooting.….…there are many proprietary anti-mist products on the market, in fact there’s a cycle specific product, ‘Muc-Off’ Premium Anti-fog Treatment.
It might also be worth trying a little neat washing-up liquid sparingly wiped over the inside of the goggles, in theory this breaks down the surface tension of the mist and should keep the goggles clear.
Dear Mr Martin, I was coming to the conclusion that the googles could be purely ornamental as they do look rather good! Hard to know which is better: pushed up on the forehead or carelessly slung around the neck? The latter has the disadvantage of obscuring any silk neckerchief one happens to wear. Fashion doth make heroes of us all and all that.
However, thanks to DW and Adam for their more practical suggestions and I set out this morning with a soupcon of washing-up liquid applied as suggested.
I have just this second emitted the loudest of guffaws upon reading the above post– bravo, good fellow. Mr McF, I do hope you were not caught in a foam inducing downpour. Rather smarting on the peepers I should imagine, if that was the case.
Good evening Gents, Messrs Martin and Adam in partic,
Mr Adam, thank you for your concern, which may or may not have been 100% altruistic…
No rain in the morning and indeed a new home to office PB. Hence no rabid dog cameo in the office, all the more so as, having prepared goggles as I described, I forebore to actually put the things on! That is two days in succession without a key piece of kit on the commute. Yesterday’s omission being the shoulder bag containing, inter alia, fresh socks and underwear… Mercifully client contact was at a minimum…
