Looks like a good day out. And the weather held!

Beats my day of being stuck here, surrounded by architects giving me dark looks when I complained about being in on a Saturday and rejecting their crude scribblings.

I think I’ve been in that bike shop.

Well chaps.….….you’ve made it onto the Pashley website, “A Guv’nor Jolly”:  http://www.pashley.co.uk/news/  .….…..“Bang On!”.

Safe rides, DW.

Well done indeed. Stardom at last, and deserved.

DW, glad to see the Bombardier clip amused and influenced.

Ride on!

Yes indeed TCP, rekindled thoughts of the Rik Mayall characters — in ‘Bottom’ and of course Lord Flashheart in the ‘Blackadder’ series, on whom the Bombardier Bedford character is of course based, all very amusing and it must be said they are all “Bang On!”, an excellent strap line.

Again, for a few more mirthful moments, YouTube have a number of Lord Flashheart clips taken from ‘Blackadder’, well worth viewing, maybe with a pint of the afore mentioned Bombardier or Doom Bar, but mind you don’t spill any on the keyboard, you have been warned!

Safe rides ‘One & All’.

Gentlemen,

It looks a fabulous weekend, thank you for sharing the pictures with us. To have acheived such fame is the icing on an already appetizing cake: you and your machines look splendid.

Whilst Sharp’s Doom Bar suffices as a celebratory thirst quencher, it’s a shame that the weekend couldn’t be celebrated with Stratford’s local, but now defunct, Flowers. Regrettably, I don’t believe that Stratford currently has a brewery, but the next time you are there it’s worth seeking out the fine ales brewed by Purity who are in nearby Alcester.

Cheers!

Quite. Sharp’s is questionable.….. being bought by the American Coor’s monster. Similar

happened with the legendary Newquay Steam: was born, marketed and then sold.….. isn’t

money just a filthy thing that taints life!?

Near me is a tiny but fast growing Stroud Brewery that refuses to sell to supermarkets or other

chain businesses. You can either by direct from the ‘shed’ or through selected outlets and

local pubs. Good product too.

Here’s to the micro brewery movement!

Top news, it looks as though it went down well.

Of their three widely available brews: Pure Gold is a light and quaffable session ale at 3.8%, UBU, named after the brewery’s dog apparently (you bloody urchin), is a tasty amber 4.5% and Mad Goose, my favourite, an easy drinking and zingy 4.2%. Pure Gold may be the best immediately post ride before moving on to UBU. Alternatively, kick off with Mad Goose and move to red wine.….….

Cheers!

Good evening Gentlemen,

Mr Morse, your knowledge of local breweries and their fine ale is most impressive. At our first drinks stop at the King’s Head, I do believe UBU was the collective choice. And just to make sure it was agreeable to the palate as we originally thought, we decided to go for a second tasting. Here’s Mr Adam with a pint of said ale. ‘Coveted’ springs to mind. Quite right.

Kind regards,

Martin

Pub up the road from work carries Goose as a standard choice.
