Hey guys,

The Bishop site is really cool! Would love to do what they are doing, maybe a BSA if I can find a frame for the fall or winter?

Also, I had to buy the name http://www.pathracerbicycle.com it was just sitting in space waiting?

but…I really have no time to build a site like this, I am swamped with 3 jobs as it is. Just thought it would be cool to get one of you chaps into it? Maybe this site can use it as an off-shoot?

Oh, I am in Toronto Canada & it’s called Tex Amps because it is a nickname friends call me. “TEX” last name is Teixeira

Also part owner of “Outsider Denim” we make Hand made 30s & 40s style classic Denim with USA made ConeMills fabric. Same fabric they use to use for LEVIS from 1900 to 1960s. — Be a friend on Facebook-

Main work is Guitar Luither & amp tech. I do work for many Canadian & International bands mostly, today working on Daniel Lanois 1956 Fender P-Bass. Also worked for Feist, Blue Rodeo, Wilco, ColdPlay, Bryan Adams, Verve .….…

PS: If there was more than 24 hours in a day I would be building & restoring Path Racers too! I do love these bicycles but also a big Colnago fan.

Always loved this quote,

The ordinary things in the world are made by everybody, few people make outstanding ones.”

Hey Tony, and greetings from Helsinki Finland!! We share the exact same interests; I dig vintage denim, guitars and amps and I ride a Guv’nor ( in jeans ).  Your Tex amps modeled after vintage Fenders or what’s the scoop ( sorry OT !! )?  I’m playing a Standel and 50’s Ampegs, and the guest name comes from a Bigsby steel guitar I have. Anyway, great to bump into you in this forum, I’ll check out your sites for sure!!

I can build anything”

Cheers, ( and once again, sorry for the off topical rant )

And here’s another with an old Marshall valve amp.

A ’99 ES335 dot in ebony , a ’91 Dobro 33H, an Anniversary Strat DeLuxe HSS in candy tangerine and a couple of Taylors.

And you’ll know what I mean when I say I ride my Guv’ in the Nudie’s. Wink

Hey,

My amps are not modelled on any other amp platform.

The circuit is very unique in design & the break-up is clear with chime. My Bernie amp is on so many LPs, listen to the last Bryan Adams, Sarah Mclaughlin, Metric, also producer Bob Rock uses it. I have many sold to USA session players in LA & Nashville, now Feist & Wilco are asking about the amp now. It is an amp all the players in the know seem to uses but like to keep it under wraps (sucks for me).

You guys into denim will LOVE the Outsider Denim. Check them out on Facebook, been getting all our Rock musician friends in them but you guys might be seeing them around in the next year or so. If you Guvnor club guys are interested in the denim email me & I will give you guys a special price.

PS: Back to bikes, got a 60’s CCM Reynolds 531 frame/fork for $50 today. Will post pics, now how to make it into a cool Path bike. Brass or nickel plate it or powder coat in British race green?

When not on the Guv’ I ride this. Looked a prat wearing tweed once, so jeans are the required garment…
with turn-ups, obviously.
Meet Mr. Marshall some years ago for a photo shoot at his factory. There was one man who, know doubt to a few,
had the best job on earth: all he did each day was play his guitar to test EACH ONE of the amps that were manufactured
that day! The amps were completed, put onto a moving line which went into and through a testing booth where this chap
played. Classical, blues, rock, everything.
Wilko Johnson rules. OK?

Hi,

For the tweed you need an old BSA, Vincent or 30s BMW bike.

Cool to meet Jim Marshall OBE, is was a drummer & teacher I think Keith Moon & Mitch Mitchell where his student. The chaps that designed the MARSHALL amp is named Ken Bran and an EMI technician named Dudley Craven.

PS: WILCO is from Chicago & not that old. They are one of the best bands on the planet, if you love music you got to check these guys out! Think they are on tour in the UK right now.

Mr Texamps, I think he means Wilko Johnson, guitar player with Dr Feelgood. Wilko’s been up here to our local blues club http://www.ripleyblues.co.uk a few times. His bass player is Norman Watts-Rey, ex-Blockhead and an absolute diamond geezer.
