Afternoon Gentlemen,

The  forum appears to have a lot of new members chipping in recently from various parts of the country and wider, as a parallel run to the good old “Roving Riders” how about sharing this coming weekends ride with us? It doesn’t matter if it’s a quick snap from a mobile ‘phone or the full “Cycling Photographer” works.

Spring looks like it’s on it’s way, lets see what you’ve got…

Regards,

Adam

Good idea Mr. Adam, although it’s a toss up between Guv’ or R75/6 Beemer for me, but

will endeavour to answer your call.

Daff’s out.… time to give her a good chasing!

Ride on!

What a perfectly spiffing idea.

I don’t yet have a Guv’ but I will try and get a few snaps of the New Forest tomorrow morning on my last ride using my Specialized Allez bike, which I plan to clean and then put up for sale in order to help fund the purchase of my new Pashley machine.

One & All,

Yes, this is a great idea, but, isn’t there always a but, for the less computer savvy members such as myself (founder member of the ‘ Grumpy Old Men Section’ of the GOC) and probably quite a few others. It’s not easy!

Morgan kindly posted the topic ‘How to post an image’, last April 2010, currently on page 17, of the Forum > The Public House. But I still find the process a bit baffling and have to enlist the services of my PA, otherwise known as ‘er indoors, to undertake this task!

Perhaps Mr. Cycling Photographer can advise whether there’s another way? Is it possibly to set-up some way of emailing an image?

Safe rides, DW.

Dear DW, email me on markphotographer@btinternet.com with an image and I’ll see what I can do.

Try and reduce the image in size if poss. Let me know what wording you require too.

Hope this helps.

Ride on!

Evening Mr. Wheeler,

As I’m an incredibly lazy chap if I’m after a quick fix, assuming you have Microsoft Outlook, you can email the image to yourself the application will give the option of reducing the size of the attached image.

The other method I use is to upload the image(s) to my Flickr account and the site does all the necessary work for you.

Adam

Evening Gentlemen, I just clicked on the oak tree type thingy and worked it out from there.

Here’s one taken a few minutes ago. Not a very good photo and slightly blurred but probably just as well. I’m in it.

Self with something cheap and Chilean, Guv’nor leaning on plum tree and wheelbarrow full of whatever it was the wife’s been chopping at all afternoon.

Have a good week-end.

Mr Cycling Photographer. I’ve passed on the compliment. Apparently, the wayward undergrowth has been tidied up by the Brazilian. Never met him but I had wondered about the rustling noises.

You mention an R75/6 in the above post, I have one of it’s descendants, an R12GS, seen here near Cape Wrath.

Afternoon chaps,

Had a little ride this morning. Single track road, down to an old railway track where I “paused” for breath.

Evening Joff,

Thank you for bringing the thread back on track, I go away only to return and find I’ve logged onto some version of “Motor Cycle News”, walks off muttering under his breath.

Remembers his manners turns around, nice bike and attire by the way Joff, off muttering again.

Adam

Good evening gentlemen,

A splendid sunny afternoon was spent cycling the Yorkshire countryside, and here is my photographic contribution. I thought I would go for a ‘Man at C&A’ pose as I was wearing the tank-top to go with it. I hope everybody had as much fun on their respective jaunts as I certainly did this weekend!

Kind regards,

Martin

Afternoon Gentlemen,

Very man about town Mr. Martin.

Here’s my addition for the weekend:

I’ll be the first to admit it’s not the most inspirational photograph ever to have graced this good forum, but it’s at the end of the “Wiggle Cheshre Cat” one hundred miles and about 5,800 feet of climbing.

Probably not one of my better ideas, but in a sea of carbon fibre and lycra I like to think I brought a little style to the proceedings.

Regards,

Adam

Adam and ‘One & All’,

Have you some details on your cycle rack?

I’m currently looking at what’s on the market that will carry the Guv’nor and a Princess safely and without damaging the cycles or the vehicle.

I will be looking for a replacement vehicle soon, so an estate or van based vehicle could also be an option. Any thoughts on what to go for or to avoid would be welcome.

Safe rides, DW.

Looks very much like the Thule range to me.

Mr. Adam, how are the Dromarti’s? Have they finally broken in?

Well done on the ride!

Good evening gents (and ladies),

Here’s a bit of Guv’nor 3 speed action in Perth, Western Australia, from last weekend.

There aren’t many of these machines around this neck of the woods. I apologise for the lack of tweed fabric in the photo, it’s way to hot to don the tweed down here. I must say that I’m very envious of your London Tweed Run event coming up in a couple of weeks time.…perhaps some well received English sponsorship will see me in London for next years event!!

I’m also looking forward to seeing some of the GOC members photos from this years event so please ensure you take some good snaps for the forum…

Regards to you all
