Very interesting Sir, in addition to the ’49 Rudge (pictured) in the garage awaiting restoration, Mrs Terry has a lovely old Coventry Eagle ladies bike languishing in the cellar. We think it’s from before WW2 as it has a large metal badge on the head-tube. The post-war bikes, so I believe, have transfers.  The delapidated Coventry Eagle on the site you mention has nothing on the headstock but a bike in one of the early adverts shown appears to have a badge. I’ll have a good scan through it all later.
