My Religion is the bicycle.… my church the open road… and yes my judgement day is tomorow, I’m riding the Midland Monster sportive (only the short route… 76miles !!!… and as its a little on the “hilly” side, I’m using the carbon steed)

Thank you MrTerry… Well I did 73 miles in 4:13hrs/mins, average speed 17.3mph I think (my computer decided to go all excited on me !!!, Im sure the reason being my event number was 382 (3+8+2=13 !!!))… I’ll be glad when all this racing about is done for the season and I can get back to riding at a more sensible gentlemen pace on a real steel bicycle instead of these crazy plastic ones !
Well done Mr MGCC, I managed 62 miles in 3:30 on the Acorn 100k yesterday. Mainly due to the fact that I managed to tag along with a team from a local cycle shop for the first 40 miles or so. The rotters cleared off while I took a “prostate break” so the last twenty-odd miles were a solo effort into a stiff westerly. Hard going indeed.
I too am looking forward to a few rather more leisurely rides on the Guv’nor.
