…I’ve just noticed (on another webby place) that one of Tour Ride consultants has a Gunv’nor.… time to drop a note I think that the “Pashley Pelton” will be in force at Stokie Trentino !

Gentlemen… I’ve been over on Bikeradar plugging away for the Owners Club, I appreciate there are a lot of chaps over there with plastic bicycles, but you never know a few may yet see the light…

Unfortunately, Gentlemen, I won’t be taking part in the Tourride event. I’ve been unable to ride the cycles or the motorcycle since injuring the back on the Hebden Bridge trip. Hope to be pedalling again in two or three weeks. Smile

Ride on!

Mr Terry old bean — I wondered where you had popped off to — hoping it wasn’t heaven!

Glad to hear from you sir!

Frightfull shame about the old back — obviously that young filly who had been treating it may not have been manipulating the correct parts! Did you tell her which side of your body the back was?

Well I can see that you are now clearly getting better as you are now able to type again!

Good to hear from you sir and I wish you a speedy recovery.

PS Did you get the pics I emailed you from the epic Hebden Bridge ride or are they best forgotten about?

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

It certainly sounds like you’ve been through the mill regarding your back trouble, Mr Terry. Wishing you the speediest of recoveries, good fellow.

Kind regards,

Martin

Well chaps using my Garmin data from last year just thought I’d give you chaps a few pointers into how Giro D’Stokio stands up against the Rattler and the Fens sportives, if you’re still a bit undecided…

Stokio last year 49.5miiles, total climbing 982m, it took me 2hrs 51mins last year at an average of 17.4mph, but I wasn’t hanging about as that was the 15th quickest time for the distance.…(average Heart rate 87% of me max !)… but was on my Spesh Roubaix plastic bicycle.

Fens this year 76.7miles, total climbing 209m, it took me 4hr 27mins, average speed 17.3mph… and of course was on the Guv. (no HR data didnt have the strap on)

Rattler this year 79.2miles, total climbing 794m, it took 5hr 7mins, average speed 15.5mph, heart rate 82% of max… again of course on the Guv

So I think its fair to say, bit more hills in the Giro but nothing too terrible, and if you’re able to get around either the Fens or Rattler I’m pretty sure the shorter 50miles of the Giro d Stokio is more than do’able on a Guv.
