Dear D.W.

I found excellent your decal design.

But at final + 1 with TexasGuv  it seems that : “The decal would be more flexible in this regard.  I will buy whichever one you choose”.

Many Thank’s

Given the choice I would opt for the badge, although I would wear either with pride. An enamel badge has a certain permanence and is more tangible than a decal.

Cheers,
Frosty.

Thank you ‘One & All’ for your positive response, comments and suggestions but due to forthcoming changes to the GOC site this project of mine isn’t going to happen.

What, everything? The night I came home from Pongo Twistleton’s birthday party and mistook the standing lamp for a burglar?

Unfortunately, Gentlemen, that day is upon us sooner than some of you might have thought.

According to the whois-information of the guvnorownersclub.com, the registratrion of the domain expires on 28, September. I really do hope the founder of the site is willing to continue hosting the club. The fee for registering the domain for further two years shouldn’t be too much, but I still think we could raise the funds to together, if need be.

Kind regards,

Miikka

As a relative newcomer to the GOC I may be speaking out of turn and apologise in advance as I have no intention to offend or belittle the efforts of those currently invloved in the ongoing running of this site. However, from my (albeit limited) limited experience of the GOC it looks as though the club continues to grow and has become increasingly popular — as demonstrated by the continued activity and passion expressed in this forum and it would be crazy if this forum folded because we fail to re-register the domain. What about considering charging a small, nominal fee for membership of the club to help with the ongoing running/admin costs and/or asking for volunteers to assist with the ongoing running of the site ? I’ve no idea what’s involved in extending the registration but I, as I’m sure others like Miikka, would be prepared to help if someone could only tell us how.…

I hope this doesn’t cause offence.

Evening Corky,

The problem is not the costs involved in the re-registration of the domain but the access to the back end of the site.

Unfortunatly James (who originally created and ran the site) has gone to ground taking with him domain, hosting infomation and passwords for site administration.

We are currently trying to pull together an alternative, as you say it would be a shame to lose the community.

Regards,

Adam
