One & All,

Would you fellows be interested in a ‘Guv’nor Owners’ Club’ frame decal?

I’ve been toying with the idea for a while and would welcome any thoughts on the design etc.. I had in mind something incorporating the GOC initials and our motto -  ‘Verve, Dignity, Curiosity’, what do you think?

I have made tentative enquiries with a top quality producer, who may be interested, but as with all these things it is dependant on quantity and design and of course cost!

Safe rides, DW.

I never realised we had a motto ! Embarassed

…I like the idea, but it would be quite a long decal dont you think DW ?

MGcC / One & All,

I had in mind something similar in size to that of the ‘Reynolds 351′ decal, a compact discreet design in black and white or silver befitting the Guv’nor?

Sounds great would blend in well with existing OM parts.

With you at the head on this it will be excellent.

One & All.…..success at last.….. what a kerfuffle it’s been trying to upload this image!!

Anyway, what do you think? The decal would be about 1¾“x1”, the same size as the Reynolds 531 frame decal.

But please remember things are only at the tentative stage, so I’ve no idea of price etc., that would also be dependant on the quantity ordered.

I would like to have some indication of interest from you fellows of potential custom before I take things further.

Safe rides, DW.

EVERYONE HOLD YOUR HORSES!!!

Dear DW, whilst your efforts are very much appreciated, with reference to the post

how to upload an image”, I have mentioned that the web site domain on line period

maybe close to it’s renewal. Unless it is renewed by our founder, James, the club, site

etc. will be no more. I have contacted James this morning asking him as to what his intentions

are. I will inform all as soon as I can.

Stand by.

Good morning Gentlemen,

A superb design, Mr Wheeler– thoroughly engaging. However, I will take Mr Photographer’s cue and await the outcome of the GOC online forum in its current form.

Kind regards,

Martin

Looks like a design design, and I’d invest.

Probably best to wait for the forum future to be decided before forging ahead though.

Looks like a fantastic design! Count me in.

If you have somewhere good for making decals, I’d also be interested as I have been looking to get some made up for my real tennis racquets (court tennis to our friends over the pond).

Frosty.….….the firm that I’m currently making enquiries with is: http://www.hlloydcycles.com . I’ve seen their decals and they are of excellent quality.

Maybe not the cheapest, but then you get what you pay for!

Safe rides, DW.

One & All,

I’m “standing by” on this for the moment for several reasons:

The future of this web site in it’s present form, see TCP’s post above, post #8, dated 29 August.

I still await details, prices etc. from the decal producer.

I’ve also made enquiries about an enamel badge, (black on chrome, size about 32mm. x 20mm.), from an excellent quality producer who has already reponded, so this may be an alternative to the decal, perhaps a more versatile item?

What do you think, and are you happy with my GOC logo design?

I await your feedback, and the future of the GOC site before I proceed.

Safe rides, DW.

Edit & PS: Since posting the above I’ve heard from the decal producer, and the bottom line is a pair of decals would cost about the same as an enamel badge! So what would you prefer? Personally I think the badge is the better option.  DW.

DW… not wishing to sound churlish as I love the overall deco look of the design, but the only tiny detail change might be to use the Guv’nor font maybe for the G O C ? … also what would the moto look like in say latin ?

…thats my only thoughts and as I said, lovely design

I also like the idea of the enamel badge, but would it be a curved badge for mounting on the frame tubing, or a flat badge?  The decal would be more flexible in this regard.  I will buy whichever one you choose.

Thanks for your work on this.
