For our members overseas: The BBC aired a series on the One Eyed God retracing the

travels during the 1950’s of a gentleman around Britain on a Dawes Super Galaxy.

The same bicycle was “ridden” by a “lady” in the programme known more for sports

commentary rather than participation.….…

I saw only one episode and would have loved to have seen the entire series no matter who the presenter was. American television never presents anything that has such an interesting, yet limited appeal. It’s all about commercial success here.

So it may be possible for you to view on: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv the first programme was broadcast today at 9:30pm GMT, Friday 26 November, and will be shown weekly at the same time.

I have an enquiry about programme airing. Here in the US me and my friend Alan, a Welsh ex-pat, watched the first two episodes that were aired on Friday nights. We use BBC iPlayer. Last week Britain by Bike was not to be found on the schedule and I cannot find it at all for this week either. Has anyone been watching the series on regular BBC television?

After a bit more reading it does not appear to be on iPlayer

Many thanks to those who looked up the schedule on BBC for Britain by Bike. This morning before I left home it was indeed available on iPlayer. Look at the BBC2 schedule for the next four days. I’ll be watching Episode 3 — The Isle of Wight this afternoon when I return home from work.
